Bernard Chandran

I was really fortunate enough to work with the super talented Nora Nona, backstage at Bernard Chandran's AW12 show at LFW.

Nora had created a "hardcore David Bowie inspired look with fierce contour and a killer red lip" right up TGC's street! This makeup wasn't for the faint-hearted. Nora is known for pushing the makeup boundaries, and never fails to inspire me as a makeup artist with her more is more approach to makeup art.

A natural foundation was applied to each model and their natural high points and contours were accentuated using tones two shades lighter and two shades darker. Lots of transparent powder was used to create a velvetly matte skin and to finish, foundation was airbrushed on top! Brows and lashes were blanked out, and white and caramel eyeshadows were used to create a sunken looking eyelid. Lips were painted on in a deep burnt red and copper glitter to finish made them dazzle.

This make up left me feeling so proud and re-inspired me as an artist. All the girls looked fierce on the runway..
